Turbobert recently, thru this forum solved his 930 smoking on start up problem by reinstalling a ball bearing in his oil supply line to his turbo. Is this a standard Porsche 930 part?and if so can anyone please describe it to me so I can located it on my car, if indeed I have one.(a part number would be great) I have exactly the same symptoms as turbobert and have been pondering the problem for months. My turbo is after market fitted.
Thanks from down under. BrianL

Yes, the steel ball is a standard Porsche part available from Pelican. The part number is 900.108.022.00. The ball sits in the tap below the pressure switch.
![]() The pressure switch is located in the back of the engine bay (#47 in the diagram), behind the air cleaner. To get at it, you'll need to remove the air cleaner. ![]()

Hi Turbobert
Many thanks for the info. When the switch was replaced some months age I will bet that the ball was lost. The motor is coming out within the next month and the ball valve will be checked and replaced if required. Will keep you posted. Thanks for all the trouble. BrianL
