Door Handles
I posted a query on the 911 door handles a while ago but have not received any response. I really need some help guys. Question is : Can I use the 993 door handles to replace the ones on my "88 Carerra ? Has there been a similar thread before where this was discussed ?

The best I can do is that I recall a photo of 993 handles on an earlier car. It may have been from an ad in Excellence, or from this forum.

Yes...it can be done. And it looks great. I've been watching the ads for a pair for a few months now to no avail.

Thanks for reply. With the 993 handles, can I assume that that I can still use the old locking barrel so I don't need to get new keys....etc. Also, will I need any additional parts, eg door striker plates...etc. Anybody have a picture of a late model door handle on an "old" 911 ?

The pic you're referring to is from DC Automotive. The one with the lovely lady sitting in the early red 911.
