a/c belt removal

I need to remove the a/c belt so I can pull the plastic air guide out to get at the alternator. I cannot find anywhere that tells me how to remove the belt. Can anyone help, or provide advice on how I can pull the air guide out past the a/c belt? I have three more nuts to unscrew on the bottom half the the guide before it releases and I can't get at them as the a/c belt is getting in the way.

Many Thanks

Ash

You need to release the bolts that are holding the compressor and move compressor toward the engine to give you some slack on the belt.

Compressor typically mounts on a pedestal with 4 x vertical bolts that use a 12-13mm ( 1/2" ) hex head. There is a fifth bolt....pointing out horizonatally to the right...that must be loosened that determines belt tightness......
