Question Chain Tensioner Upgrade for 78SC NewBee

Hi --

Question about the Carrera-type chain tensioner upgrades....

What is the easiest way for me to check to see if I have the upgraded tensioners?

I am a newbee, but I'm capable of doing alot, and I'd hate to have to ask/pay a dealer.

I have checked the Pelican article at: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/911_carrera_chain_tensioners/911_carrera_chain_tensioners2.htm

And also, I have ordered Wayne's book which I know has an article about the upgrade.

Is it something I can even check without much hassle?

Thanks in advance...

-Tom

Man I remember asking myself this same exact question, anyway look at the chain covers on the front of the motor, look right below the distrubutor, if you have an oil line entering the chain cover on both sides then you have the updated tensioners.

If not, order them from our host and get it done, it's an easy upgrade and great piece of mind.

Thanks Scott -- I'm a real newbee here, I can find the area right below the distributor -- and I should just see if I have an oil line going into both sides of the cover?

Any pictures of what it might look like?
