GT Racing , good , bad , indifferant?
Do any of you guys know, or have experience with the body-parts business ,"GT Racing" out of Colorado? Do they offer good qaulity fiberglass and carbon-fiber body parts for the RSR type 911's? Is the fit good , etc., ? I just have never seen their name mentioned on this forum , but have seen much from the other Porsche after -market body parts suppliers names come up, once in a while ,; thanks in advance.

Do a search. Lots of discussions on fiberglass suppliers including GT Racing.
My front and rear bumpers and tail are from GT Racing. Mike

My impression after reading this forum for a couple of years including many f/g threads is that GT-racing is good, and MA Shaw is great.
Good means that you may have a fair amount of finishing and fitting work to do depending upon how anal you are, and Great means you won't have much, but it's fiberglass, so there's almost always some work to be done (unless you're not that anal). Like I said, this is what I've gotten from reading lots of threads about other people's experience with fiberglass parts, not my own.

I have bought three sets of glass, Shaw, GT Racing and Racer's group.
I doubt anyone of them actually makes the stuff but GT Racing and Shaw both have good customer service and generally the same products. Beware if you have any problems. Getting refunds can be a beeeech plus the hefty return fees they'll hit you with. I am still trying to get a refund from Racers' Group (going on 4 months and many letters later) after they sent me the wrong product...which arrived damaged as well. Mike Shaw typically answers the phone during business hours. That says a lot to me. But to date I have been more pleased with what I have bought from GT Racing. I find that fit and finish from these suppliers is really dependant on what part you order. I've gotten stuff that was great and some parts I wanted to smash with a hammer and leave in a dumpster (if I hadn't just paid $1100 for it ).

Have gotten parts from Mike Shaw and others. Mike backs his parts to the hilt and that says a lot for me!
