The seat bolts to two rails with two bolts on each side. The rails bolt to the floor of the car, also with two bolts on each side. By far the easiest is to check are the bolts that hold the rails to the floorboard. Try the front ones first. They are easily accessible by moving the seat back. The rears are difficult to reach. If that doesn't work, the seats would need to come off to reach the bolts that fasten the rails to them.

Thanks for the bolt tip but I have removed and installed my seats many times so I am familiar with the rail setup. I just wonder if can make the fit for the stops on the rails more precise. I might just have to pull the seat and mess around with it.

I don't think the stop would cause the movement. I only see one at the front to keep the slide from coming off.
The two female slots that fit over the male tabs hold the seat in place. If they have wallowed out it would cause the slop. See if you have movement in another position. Perhaps two of the tabs have narrowed instead of the female slot. ![]() |

Thanks for the pic ABR.
I just came in from putting the seat back in. I think it is just normal wear as it seems to be the female part attached to the lever. I 'll just live with it........or it may be time for some Sparcos!!!
