question re: '72 / '73 OEM parts manual
guys;
finally got my hands on a hardcopy of the '72 / '73 factory parts manual. QUESTION: does this include the '73 RS ? i haven't had a chance to plow all the way through it. the supplements appear to be included up through III 73. there is a section titled "RS" but that is for Repair Sets. can anyone clarify ? thanks! Jerry

I have found that it does,though there are not that many parts specific to the RS. You'll find numbers for the RS flares, bumpers, etc. There is quite a bit of good info there.

It sure does. Each plate page has nine vertical columns: Mod. no., Fig no, part no, etc. The fourth column from the left has a subcolumn called "einspritzer" listing 911T, 911E, 911S and Carrera 2.7. Any part the RS used will be listed across from the part number in quantity in the either the "alle" column or in the Carrera 2.7 column. If it was used only by the RS, it will have it's own part no, will be listed in quantity and have it's own part description. For example, on plate 8/3, showing body panels, number 31/1, is an RS flare, called a welding plate. Cool, huh?
