Post pics of sad/abandoned Porsches

...rare, barn finds, maybe one you bought to restore, with before and after pics, or just that poor old 924 that waits till its price goes up (if ever)...

Here are some I found here and there. Some might be posted in this site before

Here's what I accidentally found in a barn in Germany on a recent trip. A guy had stored these 3 924 turbos and one 924 Carrera GT in there since 1990. He had an argument with the barn owner and these stayed there. Not really expensive cars, but an interesting story

Surprisingly, this wasn't riddled with rust, but it was parked in a barn off a gravel road, miles from pavement in the country. We found a mouse nest on a cylinder thanks to the barn. Oh yeah, the barn had a roof, three sides but no door.

Those 924's in the barn in Germany aren't going to do well under plastic sheeting... think of all the moisture that gets trapped there!

Rick. That Gt version is pretty cool. Always learning something new here.

Not only cool, but also the most desirable model in the 924/944 series.

Strangely they were quite "clean" at least at their surface. Didn't see any signs of rust. I would be really concerned about the engines, being very sensitive in the first place. Mice and other rodents would surely have built their home eatin wires and hoses on their way

OT : My opinion is that the most desirable among the 924/944 range is a ... 968. Its called the 968 Turbo S / RS.

The 924 Carerra GT is one of the few watercooled P-cars I lust after.

Here is a sad one-owner '77 Turbo from a previous thread:
