Look at this color combo
Very sad for such a nice car.
They must have laughed at the factory when this rolled out. |
Someone caught in the Time warp of the late 70's early 80's
|
The chrome twists make it even worse. Must have been owned by someone named Guido or Ramon.
|
If the exterior were silver, black or white I think it would be fabulous. That gold with the chrome wheels is not happening though, yuck.
|
That, my friends, is the extremely rare 'Reeses Peanut Butter Cup' interior........highly sought after........:D
|
I just picture the guys at the factory laughing as they get this one ready to ship to the US
|
That's a shame. As much as you might think you'll own it forever, you have to consider the possibility of a sale. I wonder what the dealership paid for it?
On the other hand, I'd drive it in a heartbeat. It's better than the pink 993 cab that's come up a couple of times. |
I’m going to break out my light blue polyester leisure suit and go check out that car. Now where did I put my gold chains…oh yea and the Aqua Velva aftershave?
If you buy it you won’t have to worry about running into another one just like it. |
Maye they wouldn't laugh....
Some of the color combo's used by Germans ( for their own domestic cars) can be downright hilarious... Case in point..bright blue exterior with houndstooth red leather interior. Or....Silver car with brown interior ( ???). You get the "picture" when you start seeing a German in a grey business suit and brown shoes.... Oh yeah...now I get it...... Wil |
What is that exterior color, "Lexus Gold-Beige"? Yuck. Too bad about that interior too. It has the very expensive FULL leather package (even the dash vents and window switches are leather-wrapped), but in a completely horrid color combination. http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/puke.gif

Whatever; it is a killer car! Black 19" BBS monoblocks and black seats would make that car a stunner. Box the old wheels away with the foogly seats and wait 20 years. The car will be worth a mint when collectors are looking for 'rare' color combos.
|
You could probably pull the interior trim out of a wrecked, cashmere 993 for a couple thousand at most. Throw on the black wheels and it wouldn't be anywhere near as bad. Then again, it doesn't seem to have too much of a discount priced in anyway, so you're probably better off going for resale-silver.

Desert Autosport is biddng on Motorsport of Scottsdale's car........ahhhhh huuuuh
|
Ricardo Montalban, paging Ricardo Montalban, you car is ready....
|
I dunno, I kinda like it... but then again, I am color blind. Did I ever tell you guys about the turquoise jeans i almost bought one time until my spouse told me that were 'aqua'...
|
 http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/a_pukey.gif
PIMP MY RIDE!!!! |
I have to disagree with most of you. I like the color a lot, although the dark brown interior trim is too much.
|
disgusting !!!!

IMO any color Porsche is great (save the custom job with flames up the sides!). |
Hold on.......................give me that car. I will make it wicked cool. Change the seats to all black .Loose the reast of the brown. Keep the carpet. Most of the body painted in my satin (real) black paint with some of the original color poking thru as graphics, like CARRERA. And then 2 big red stripes down the middle with some of the gold on either side. Leave the wheel arches gold like it was a John Player Special
I think I could make that car rock. I need a sponsor......... |
