will anyone loan me a '72 oil dipstick to make a template?
I can't find these anywhere. I'd like to make a template of one and make one myself, but need dimensions etc. Anyone will to loan one to me or take precise measurements and pictures so I can make one? Thanks.

Understood. Thanks, Jay. I will pm you my email address. I think I can take either an earlier or later dipstick and cut it down, but we'll see...

Crachian, pm sent. I am thinking of making a batch up once I can see what is involved. We all know that we can't rely on our oil gauges, and not having a dipstick creates a real problem, IMO.
