MOMO adapter or ?
I am taking the steering wheel off my 87 targa to be recovered, (its an extended hub wheel)
I bought a used MOMO wheel to use meanwhile, is there an adapter that I can buy that is less expensive than the actual MOMO adapter?

If you get the Momo adapter, you can always sell it again in the parts for sale forum.
The wheel will be worth more if it already has the proper 911 hub. |

Make sure whatever you use...that is has a collapsible function.....for crashes..
I wouldn't want a $5 cheaper one only to find it's made like a flanged cylinder !! Momo internal has multi-"bent" fingers to serve this function... Wil

Good point about collapsability. The OMP adapter is a solid piece. That said, so is the stock Porsche wheel/adapter isn't it?

No...the stock Porsche wheel ( itself) has a cylinder "sleeve" that has multi-perforations ( holes) in it that serves to collapse... !!!

I think Wil's comment refers to those made after a certain year - but not sure when.

I think my comments apply to at least the SC and 4 spoke Carrera 3.2 wheels.....also assuming this feature would still be retained for later years...
