Which valve cover gasket kit??

Which valve cover gasket kit should I get??

I've got a '70 2.2 E, with turbo valve covers.

I think the kit I need (for completing a valve job) is: C-105-902-50

In the 'Early 911' section, this kit is listed simply as a kit for early cars, and the lower gasket has a silicone bead.

The same part number is listed as a "Turbo" part in the "911 & Carrera ('74-'89)" group.

Do I need any other gasket goop or sealer, or is there anyone with a trick for this project? I've got the "Tech Articles" in hand.

What is the benefit of the full silicone gasket: PEL-SIL-VLGK?

Any help Wayne, anyone......

Goop? No! Just make sure that your covers are flat and that you use new nyloc nuts. Also, use a torque wrench and tighten down evenly.
Full silicone are supposed to be reusable. I guess this could be good if you need to do re-adjustments. I have trouble trusting putting old (even reusable) gaskets on the car. The silicone bead ones that I use never leak a drop.

I am interested in backdating my heating system. Where does the hose passing thru the engine sheet metal run to and from. Not the large tube running from heat exchanger but the smaller one. Thanks.

Walt:

The smaller of the two hoses is for MFI injections systems. It carrys heat from the Heat exchanger to the MFI Thermostat. They make a plug for the outlet for other models
