Cabriolet

Ive recently replaced a lock down motor in my convertible top. I loosened up the to bolts behind the seats in order to get the top down. After replacing the lock down motor, I reversed the process. the top locks down and unlocks, but the top will not go down in open top position unless i loosen up the two bolts and manually take it down. I hear convertible tops drive tran. working, but it wont go up . I have had it go up on one side crooked and stop due to the reason of causing damage to the top.
What do you think i should check for, and should the sensors on the passenger side be depressed in the full up and down position...Thank you for help me Fernando

Seems like you have managed
To get the rear motors behind the seat
Out of sync. Pm me and I'll send you the
PDF,s. Don't start playing with anything until
You fully read and understand the sequence
To re sync them. Or you"ll just make things worse.

One thing that the owner's manual doesn't mention, is that once you have loosened up the two bolts to allow for manual operation, you can't just tighten them back up to return to electric operation.

For this reason, some people have suggested that rather than loosening the two large bolts that connect the transmissions to the transmission arms, you disconnect the top of the transmission arms from the cab top - using the small allen bolt.

But the instructions on re-alignment should get you back to working. I am in the middle of that same project right now.
