Cool Brought the Porsches together today...

Alex (Alexander911), Kelly, and myself decided to drop by Paul's house (Pbflyz) and say Hello. We also stopped by Pkaaso's shop (another Paul) and to see how he was coming with that yellow '74 that he acquired for next to nothing.

Thought I'd get some pics of all the black cars, along with the white one and the yellow one.

Gotta love livin' here in warm, sunny SoCal.

Pictures of the Porsches gathered

At my house with three Porsches outside That's Kelly and Alex

Another view

At Paul's (Pbflyz). His car is in front, followed by Alex's '74, my '84, and Kelly's '88.

Kelly, Alex, and Paul with his little boy (he already knows what a Porsche is)

The other Paul's shop (Pkaaso). That's Paul next to his yellow '74 inside.

Of course, Chris...you're always welcome. I forgot that you work in this area. I always think of you being up in Anaheim.

Any color Porsche is always welcome.

Is this the Porsche version of "Men in Black" or "Blues Brothers"?

Where do you live in Mission Viejo? I just moved from there to the Bay Area. I miss the OC pelican gatherings!

Yea, but you have more good roads to drive on.

I live in the area of Trabuco and Los Alisos. Pbflyz lives near Marguerite and Alicia.

Paul (Pbflyz) and Kelly, that was really nice of you guys to let me drive each of your cars. It gave me a chance to compare my '84 with Paul's '84 and Kelly's '88 (with the G-50 tranny). Both of your cars drive really well. Paul, have any of your neighbors approached you yet about someone else driving your car. That was funny when they all waved to me.

Cool

Hey Scott,
Glad you guys dropped by this afternoon and it was good seeing the cars all lined up. Thanks for posting the pics this evening. (My 2 year old son enjoyed them too... I let him play in my car while I work in the garage. Funny thing is, when I hand him the keys to play with, he transfers them to his LEFT hand, dashes towards the car and does his best imitation of a LeMans start... )

We'll have to do it again soon. And Chris, you can take off on your lunch break and add a little color to the street. Maybe a mid-week barbecue or something. I'd love to go on the next run, but I'm working every weekend for awhile.

hey Jon,

now that your up in SF (where is just moved FROM) i want to give you a little place to take your car and really have some fun on some twisties.... this is where would take runs on sunday mornings,.... you wont beleive this road.... if you think ortega is twisty,..... this makes ortega look like a straight line.

take 101 south (from SF) twards san mateo,...... 5 minutes south you'll come to highway 84, exit right and stay on this road headed twards woodside, keeping until you hit the mountains,....... THEN you will hit some SERIOUS twisties in the middle of a forrest,.... it is incredible...... when you get to "ALICES Restauraunt" it is just a cool cruise, but your adrenaline will be pumping in your veins......

AAAHHHHHH i miss the city and that road.

by the way... go early (6am) cuz the cycles get out there and enjoy too!

Thanks for those pictures lightening up my gloomy world !

Sitting here trying to figure out any positive effects of living in the cold, damp, icy winterclimate of Sweden.

Ummh....I think I´ll have to get back to You on that...

Has the sun come out yet up there or is it still mostly darkness. I was in Norway almost 2 years ago during June and almost 24 hours of daylight so I would assume it is the opposite now.

Hey 84porsche,

Here in the south of Sweden we are actually starting to see the light now. They say contrast is the mother of all sensations and it´s like waking up from hibernation(along with the bears) and quite a sensational feeling when the light is starting to come back.

Unfortunately, it is still cold, rainy and generally unfriendly weather. Not to mention the tremendous buildup of salt and dirt on the roads...

Scott,

After seeing the pictures I put 2 and 2 together. Paul is 'that Paul!', I know Paul. Our former shop was next door to the Mercedes shop (see remnants of sign on building) and know Mike well.

But I am offended. You didn't drive around the corner and visit?

and Paul, watch your back, I'll get even...You know how Dave likes to practice with his noise bombs, we hear them from here!

Alex,

I work on the edge of Irvine, Laguna Hills and Lake Forest. Probably about 10 or so minutes away from where you guys were.

Chris
