what is this thing?
This may sound funny, but I am doing a little cleaning and found this with a box of Porsche parts in my garage... can anyone tell me what it is ir if it's even a Porsche part? Thanks

It's an aftermarket voltage regulator for 356 or 912. The bosch ones are stamped on the top. Not sure if it's 6 or 12 volt though.
Edit; Slater I just saw your details i.e 912 2.7, must of been left over from the engine swap. |

cool thanks for the info! when I bought the 912 it came with a trunk full of random parts, this was left over from that. I wasn't sure if it went to the car or not because of the "made in USA" faintly stamped in to the side. Thanks again
