26.5K for a 70 911 T What do you think

These guys sold a 73 911s a a few weeks ago for 50K, they want 26.5K for this 911T.

This is a stunning example of a early 2.2-liter 911T with Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche. All matching numbers and original color combination! Original black interior with new front truck carpeting, all new exterior moldings and new rubbers. The headlights and turn signal lenses have also been replaced. The Fuch alloy wheels have all been polished/painted with new tires mounted. Major service has been preformed on the engine, upgraded Carrera chain tensioners, new stainless steal heater exchangers and stock exhaust have been installed. Good clean early 911's are getting hard to find!

Claim it to have only 45K miles, but no records to prove it.

Take a look, what do you think!

In the new issue of excellence the value for a 70 911T in excellent condition is $14,275. 26k seems way too high for even a perfect example. A 70 911S that year only goes for 21K. Just my 2cents worth.

Note that this in California and being a '70 would not require the annual (bi-annual?) emissions testing.

Prices

There have been two "T"`s that sold recently for 25,000 and 26,000 that were original paint and low mileage.Never made it to a web-site.If this "T" were original paint and mileage,I would stress that in the ad. They don`t! Draw your own conclusions

It was repainted once! Sure would like to see pictures of T that sold for those amounts.

Cool

At least it needs some fresh carpet!

If someone would give me that kind of money, I would drag out my "stunning example" 911E. If I can remember my numbers correctly, this was the largest production number of cars that Porsche produced prior to 1980?

Good luck,
David Duffield

Seems ridiculously high to me, but what do I know? WTF would you do w/ it? Show it off amongst all of your gay, (I mean concours), friends??

You know if there _were_ a huge component of gay guys in the concours scene, those cars would be even cleaner...

I dunno. If someone buys it I think both parties need to go to Retards Anonymous...

I'm pretty sure it's in Copenhagen...

There are branch offices in NYC, Oregon, Alaska, Washington, Calif., and Nevada.

BTW, I'd pay $12 to $14k for a T...

Fabulously overpriced. Seats and carpet look tatty and engine is not perfect either. For that kind of money, the car needs to be better than pristine.

It's a damned nice car, but a T just isn't worth that kind of cash. Not for what you get...

I'd love to see it sell for that. Other than a few oil leaks that I haven't had a chance to track down, my car is in very similar condition.

It does seem to be quite high but someone can buy that car use it for a few years and sell it with out much or any loss at all. Opposed to buying a basketcase fixing it up, driving it and the selling it for half of what they have into it. How about buying a new vehicle and selling it in 4 years for nothing. Valuing an "S" by 10-20 grand more than a "t" is much sillier than the proposed selling price of this "t"

Please send all '70 911S cars available for $21K my way. Bruce Anderson's evaluations (and valuations) of early cars are notoriously off the mark--he is generally 2-5 years behind the real market. Get out there and actually look for a car, and you will see. A nice 911T can easily achieve $20K+, and a great S can exceed $50K for a super example. Ask me how I know.

What about driver condition esses? The truly excellent & original cars are off the scale regarding pricing, but it seems like there are sound solid esses around for alot less than $21k? Presentable paint... mechanically ok etc.
