Got 'er done!!!
...pretty much.
With the gracious assistance of some fellow Pelicans Mark, Tom & Gary, I got the motor back in today and drove her around the block. All went pretty well, with the only "snag" trying to figure out if the "gap" above the transmission mounts is normal. I need to bleed the brakes as the pedal was spooky soft following the replacement of the rear brake lines during my rehab project, so I didn't drive too far; I'll get that done tomorrow. The new clutch is so smooth, it is unreal. No leaks seen as of yet, so hopefully my leak repairs were effective.

Great Job Ed!
You've got to be totally stoked with the engine install a success! How does the new engine run? any perf upgrades? You have really done a lot to your car in the last year. Fabulous.

Also looks like your cruise control has the hots for your fender.

Yes, it felt great hearing her start right up! She ran really good, the only "performance upgrades" were the new plug wires, re-program of my Steve W chip for the headers, and the Sachs Power Clutch. Oh, and the air filter
I've got a little tidying up to do: cruise control cable and heater ducting. Randy: Mark Wilson was here helping me, and while we were wondering about the tranny mounts, he did a quick search here, and it would appear that there are some threads indicatiing this to be normal (the gap). To further this, I didn't touch my tranny mounts during this process.. Also, I looked under Mark's car, and he appears to have the gaps. In looking at your thread, I guess the sleeve is contacting the body. It hust looks wierd, though.
