Rare tail ??
Can anyone tell me why this tail is so damn expensive?? Our host quotes a price over $4,100.00
I was under the impression that this was an early turbo tail. It is currently on my narrow body 69' E. I have been considering replacing it with a Duck tail. The part # is 93051201000 I was told by the PO that it is in fact a real Porsche tail. It is all fiberglass with the rubber "wing" I will post a pic when I have better light to shoot it in (daylight). |

Too big to fail

The prices on these are obscene because they're basically selling down a small cache of NOS parts. I doubt anyone really buys a $4100 tail or a $10k targa top, as there is so much stuff out there on the used market and aftermarket.

The rubber on mine doesn't have vertical sides, only the back edge flips up. My lid is one piece like yours (911 512 010 07) but with a different rubber edge (911 512 019 00).
