Pelican Parts Quick Targa Top Question...

I think I know the answer to this one, but I don't have a targa top here at the shop (nor do I currently own a Targa car).

A customer called today wanting to know how to remove the alignment pin that holds the Targa top into the assembly. It's been years since I looked at one of these closely, and I just can't recall, even after looking at the parts diagrams.

He said it appeared to be blocked in there by a metal strip that was glued in there. That didn't necessarily strike any bells in my mind, and I also don't happen to have any good pictures to jog my memory either.

Any suggestions?

I'm drawing a blank on just what you mean by this. More detail?

Wayne,

There is a metal pin in each back corner of the top that goes into the metal roll bar, as well as a plastic pin in the center of the hinge that goes into a slot on the bottom of the center of the rollbar, also in the back. Are either of these the one are you referring to?
