rocky
I don't know what the PO did with this car, but the findings from the rocker panel coupled with the ride height makes me suspect Paris to Dakar. These rocks and sand could be hot items for ebay.

other rocker
The other side was pretty clear. The drivers side is pretty thin in some areas and will probably get replaced next winter. I can't figure out how those big rocks got in there though. I had to cut a couple fair sized holes underneath to get them out. I blew all that stuff out with compressed air while tapping with a hammer to loosen it. To slow rust damage where it is now, I then sprayed the inside of the rockers with Chevron Rust Preventive jelly through a Wurth Schutz Gun and a rubber hose extension to snake up in there. The Chevron product is semi liquid as it comes out of the can and then evaporates down to a waxy grease coating in several hours.

A few years ago I detailed a relative's '77 911S.
Took it to the car wash to clean the wheel wells. I blew so much dirt out of the crevices that I had to go home a take a shower; I was covered in mud.

this is a must read for everybody -- don't think your car doesn't have a pile of rust-inducing, water-retaining crap back there.
Blow it out at least every year - remove the turn signal assy if need be. And don't forget the back of the front rockers and up under every oil cooler & oil tank .... I have to say tho, those are the biggest rocks I've ever seen come put of that area.

Last year, when I pulled out my AC Drier and pressure washed the areas I was astounded in how much rock and dirt was packed in those crevices. It is now part of my spring clean to wash out these areas and touchup any damaged paint with Extend and paint.
