80 SC running lights blow fuse
My left side running lights are blowing fuses once in awhile. I don,t have a dead short as a fuse will keep the lights on several days. I recently started using a 16 amp fuse instead of the 8 and the problem persists. I don,t want to go any bigger as the wiring becomes the fuse.Any one see this before ,remember what the problem turned out to be?

You've already made the wire the fuse....
find the *problem* and fix it !....don't EVER go to a bigger-than-standard fuse...especially in our under-fused cars ! Mom ( ...Wil)

PS....long duration between fuses popping?....look at ALL connections...wires, bulbs, etc...and ensure all are clean and relube with dielctric grease when done...
Try that first...look also for obvious wire chafing or other distress... Wil
