Can I paint the rear oil lines?
I'm finishing up the wheel well cleanup project and the oil lines look a little dingy no matter how much I scrub. Can these be painted or will that just trap more heat? Do I need a special paint.

What have you tried to clean them with? My wheel wells were spray painted black before I started. I used mineral spirits and 0000 steel wool and they cleaned right up. I followed that with a little metal polish and they shine bright now. It was actually one of the easiest parts of the job for me. Here is a shot of the work in progress.
