Back Date Exhaust 82 SC o2 sensor ?
 

I assume that you must locate the o2 sensor somewhere in the early exhaust when back dating the exhaust on an 82 SC. Do I put a bung just past the collector? Any advice or pit falls with this modification other than emmissions?

If you buy SSI's the 02 bung is already installed.

I have a pair of nice early heat exchangers. Where is your fitting located?

sorry for being ignorant, but can some one explain on what is back dating?? Does it mean to completely remove the heat exchangers and replacing with headers??

can i do this on my 84 carrera?

Backdating simply means taking a later car to earlier car design. In this case backdating exhaust is going to pre 74 exhaust setup.

onsse, yes but for your car the results are so/so. Emission inspection concerns can be a big issu as well.
