Alois Ruf is coming to San Luis Obispo
For those of you that live close to San Luis Obispo CA, Alois Ruf, Jr of RUF Automobile GmbH is going to give a lecture next month on his perspective of the design process. The lecture will take place on the Cal Poly campus at 4:00pm on May 6.
Also, there will be a display of some "extraordinary Porsches" outside of the Berg gallery from 2 - 3:30 before the lecture. Mark your calendar.

I found this in the April Coastalaire:
One final event of interest that is not-yet inked, but almost confirmed for May, is a possible meeting with the worlds most famous Porsche tuner, Alois Ruf. He will visit Cal Poly for a lecture in early May. We are working on trying to work out some kind of meeting with him, but it is not yet confirmed. If we are not able to notify you through the newsletter, we will use email to let everyone know. If you sign up for the CCCR Elist you will be notified as soon as we know more. http://www.pca.org/ccc/Coastalaire%20Issues/apr2005.pdf (California Central Coast Region of PCA)

The lecture has only just been finalized, so there isn't any further information available yet. When the lecture is formally announced, it will appear at http://www.caed.calpoly.edu/Hearst/hearst.html
Strangely enough my College (Architecture) is hosting the event. I volunteered to drive one of the RUFs down here...no luck.
