915 Tranny Rebuild

It is time to unzip the 915 (on my 84 Carrera w/88000 miles) and see what is wrong. After posting on the PCA site, Chris powell recommended that I replace synchro rings, dog teeth, sliders, thrust bearings and carrier bearings. Does this mean that I should replace them all while I am in there? Or for the worn gears only? I assume the obvious answer is yes, to make it perfect. Yes is also very expensive. I just thought I would ask...knowing what the answer is.....expensive!
Is there any place that has a package (good price/quality)deal for all of this stuff?

Thanks for any input on a subject that has been beaten to death.

James
