Cindyduck what kind of name is that?
Guys, and gals
Let me clear something up, My name is not Cindy. My family and I are advid waterfowl hunters, we live 10 minutes from Saginaw Bay what else could we do for fun ( fish for walleye ). My brown dogs name is Cindy and she loves to duck hunt as much as I do. When we signed up on E-bay my wife came up with the name b/c she knew it was something I would not forget. I have been a Porsche owner for less than a year. I bought a 79 SC in need of repair, so i bought service manuals( ouch ). then I found a couple good deals on parts cars to help offset the price of the repairs. Now that I'm on Pelican I'm hooked and these little cars have become a kind of obsession. I just enjoy working on them. Seems in 79 the technoligy in my SC putsthe US manufactures about 10 years behind. Anyway I'm glad to be here and I appreciate all the help you have given me. Mike Boks |
Well, let me be the first to welcome you to the BBS, Cindy....uh...I mean Mike! :D
If you're into these little p-cars, you've certainly come to the right place. And as far as p-car knowledge goes, you'd be hard pressed to find a more knowing, and GIVING bunch of people, anywhere. Randy |
Do we need a thread where everyone explains their forum names?
Mine's an old nickname. And I'm not a girl either ;) |

In '79 US manufactured cars had galvanized bodies. High end cars had micorprocessor controlled fuel injection (K-Jetronic is hydro-mechanical). Do you really think that the ventilation system on our 911's is 10 years ahead of the 1979 state of the art? (I could make slushy drinks with the A/C of my '76 Corvette). |
"Cindyduck" is better than "IROC". I chose mine because my car is sort of an SC-flared version of an IROC car. Duh. Very original.
Anyway, welcome to the board!! Mike |
Mike,
Welcome aboard! We can always use more Michigan "Pelicans" around here!! |
Mike, dont worry about the name, my dogs named Stella and my name on yahoo is stelladella220. I get tired of explaining it to people too.

Well, it's better than mine, but I didn't feel like making mine anything cutesy or criptic at the time. Guess I still don't.

I must admit, the first thread that I saw started by "cindyduck" had me curious. I clicked just to see if there was an explanation of the name. I assumed Cindy had a duck tail on her car. hahah
I think Mike just gets a kick out of the weird propositions that he's bound to get with that sort of name. Welcome Mike. |
Welcome aboard, Cindyduck.
I have an office in Bay City as do a couple of other pelicans here. Is your car on the road yet? If you ever need assistance with it, just holler. I would be glad to help out. I know of a couple of nice euro repair shops in our area, too. |
