Wierd - an old chemist friend of mine was in town and just last nite I told him the AstroTurf state univ. cheerleader joke... it's true - great minds do think alike.

Anybody else noticed that Volvo is moving away from the staid look? I know a guy with a red turbo Volvo... non sequitur on wheels.

I never really thought about this until a couple of weeks ago (somebody mentioned there were 2,000 views on a thread), but...
It is important to realize that many more people view these threads - often by lurking - than actually post on them. Some surely have less knowledge than many posters, and could be lead into incorrect or dangerous actions based on advice they see.

I've driven a turbo C70 convertible. Pretty zippy for a tank.

I think the first thing I did after buying my '72 was ripping that stuff out...was falling apart anyway. For me I'd rather have the cabin a little bit hotter rather than the heat stay inside the engine compartment. That and I can hear the engine a little better ;)

no...I don't think astro turf would work too well. Unless your 911 was painted viper green ;)

Okay. I'll be the straight man.

I'm not aware of that one. What is the AstroTurf state univ. cheerleader joke?

Q: Why did Generic State University (or the opponents of your choice) install Astro Turf and remove the real turf grass?
A: To keep the cheerleaders from grazing.

I used woven strips of folded newspapers, varnished to make them last. This is an inflammatory statement.
