911R Rear flares
Guys, are there any STEEL alternatives to the glass rear flares?

for the 911R i would suggest that you either get some cut off fender "flares" from someone who put carrera flares on their car. Its fairly close and lends the swb pre 69 cars the extra width needed to put 7's and wide tires on. otherwise you need to find a good metal man (i hear there is an excellent guy in Az- name escapes me at the moment) to give your car the unique R fender

Weren't the "R" flares just rolled or stretched, or were they actually welded on pieces?

I could just buy the 911R 7" glass flares from GT or Rennspeed, but I would much rather have steel flares. If i could find some narrow body flares from a 69-7? car, would they match the 911R rear bumper? That would be the real question

Your bodyman will need the flares, the rims and tires you intend to run, and the R rear bumper so it all fits right. Make sure the engine and trans is in the car and it is at the final ride height too!
