Turn turn signal issues......70 911E

I have been chasing this one off and on for some time, and it is time again to try ans sort this one out. My passenger side front side marker and turn signal go bright when I use my brakes. Almost like a front brake light. Additionally, when I use the turn signal to turn right normally, I get two flashes, and then both indicators flash on the gage. EE was not my strong suit in school, hoping for a semi-simple solution?

Thanks.

Bad ground. I'd take apart the rear directional assembly and clean and confirm that all of the connections are clean. I just did mine because I had a similar problem on the left side. The directionals worked fine until I put the brakes on and then they would go dim. The brake lights worked fine and the directionals worked fine, just not together.

In case you're a non-electrical type like I am, a couple of observations.
1) The ground path is through the pot-metal directional bucket and the mounting screws into the chassis. So I also made sure that the threads were clean on the screws. Also clean off where the screw heads contact the bucket. There may also be another grounding path through the brown wire, too depending on the configuration, so I also cleaned those connections.
2) I don't know what other people use to hold the backing plate on, I just used some silicon bathroom caulking.

It fixed the problem.
