race exhaust tech help needed
I am in need of some exhaust help.
I have a 2.7L race car that I am currently running 1-5/8" headers and megaphones. Based on my test and tune, this is the combo that has given me the best lap times so far. I tested 1-1/2" headers and some custom exhaust I made myself from dynomax race magnum bullet mufflers. The system used one end of a street adaptor, used an adaptor to bring it to the diameter of the muffler. What I am looking for in an exhaust that will give me similar hp of the megaphones, but with less noise. Oh, and without breaking the budget. Thanks Ed |

Phase 9 (aka:Quiet HP) or something similar. Basically a carefully designed "reverse cone" style muffler.

I haven't done this, but heard from someone who has - one of the things that can be done is to have an elbow bend fabricated and mate it over the tip so that the sound is now directed
at the ground (or even away from the noise monitor) ... seems to work .... JB |
