Guys,
How often do the windscreen wiper motors in these cars die? I'm having a problem where mine keeps blowing fuses immediately! Can this be a dud motor, or relay? Perhaps a wire come loose and is shorting? It happened whilst driving home one night in light rain. It just siezed on me ![]()

First you should do a load test. This will tell you if the motor is going bad and pulling too many amps. Also (rare but not unheard of) is to make sure all the linkage is well lubricated and operating smoothly.

Thanks Kevin.
I actually ripped out the whole motor assembly this weekend, found nothing wrong, re-installed and it now works! What a PITA!!! ![]() Must have been a bad wiring connection that was corrected when I re-installed the whole thing. However, I now find my intermittent switch doesn't work. Maybe that was the problem all along? Perhaps a dodgy switch?
