I'm workin on my car again!
Well, It feels like I've been on the road for the last year or so. My wife's criteria is once the girls remember your name when asked three times in a row then you can go work on the car
 My path is clear. I've decided to go with body and paint first. All the seals have to be replaced and I can't see doing any of that work twice. Between that and oil/gas lines and suspension rubber I'll have my hands full for awhile.   So the easy stuff was started Sunday. So far I'm really happy with what I've found under the sills, carpet and rocker trim. Love that silver peaking through begging to return to glory.

I've seen some horrific pictures of under the rear shelf on some other cars. I think I'm going to try and pull the upper foam carefully off mine. The seat/lower foam looks too clean to pull unless I find nastiness under the shelf. What's the consensus? I'm afraid I won't be happy with replacement material if I remove the original. It isn't deteriorated at all.

Found some intesting holes behind the seats. I know the PO tracked the car a bit but, I don't see any evidence of a roll bar attachment up front. In a box of spare parts I have an original four point harness that had one eye hook. I couldn't figure out how he attached em until I found this when I pulled the rear shelf. So, anyone hazzard a guess on the holes? Some sort of individual roll bar between each seat?

Speakin of that. I pulled my AC and am going to sell the whole lot as soon as I get two more hoses off. That is on the Kardex but, I can't see keeping it. I'll never have it on the car. Might as well find someone who wants to get their car original. I'm period but, flexible
 All in all a great day. Can't believe how relaxed I was at work today. Been along time comin gettin back into a car scene. I'm glad I waited though. Can't beat helpers like this   And so it begins...

Good looking car! I've always had a soft spot for black p-cars especially!
Not so sure about those speakers on the parcel shelf though... Cheers! Willem

Period 75s and already removed. Got lucky there too. PO didn't screw them down. No holes in the shelf.
Sorry to say the black is going. NOT! Back to the original Silver!
