Very nice.
Locally some guy backed out of buying a CGT he ordered so they kept is $50k deposit and are offering the car at MSRP less the sticker.

Re: Carrera Gt Deal

Okay...I give up! Which one of these guys is the Nigerian?

Shaving $200,00.00 off the original price because of "minor damage on the right front"

I know cars lose some value when they roll out of the parking lot, but I think I'll pass on this deal.

No doubt they neglected to mention that the "minor damage" is how far (the right front) the shrapnel travelled when the motor detonated.

But seriously, for this to be a real deal the car has to be a flood recovery or some such thing. Does a salvage title hurt the value to 200K?

The pic is clearly a photochop job as well. Does nothing but detract from the credibility...

Hell, why don't we send them an ad with Jack Olsen's car in it's place and ask them for $250K

i live close to silver star, and they are a joke. they are a porsche dismantler who's prices are ridiculous. i called about a week ago looking for an 11 blade fan for my '79, they wanted $5 more for it than PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS wanted for it NEW!!! when i told them this, the guy said it wasnt true (which it was since i had the catalog in front of me) and that i should go buy it from performance if that was the case. i dont know how they sell anything there....so i wouldnt doubt they may have that car, but the damage will be much more extensive than they say, but dont worry, they might take off a few thousand off MSRP.

I might also add that the section of that car that is damaged is probably well over 100K to fix. Considering the front air dam or facia is 30K alone, these little bits and pieces would add up shockingly fast! (LOL)

I couldnt afford even the wiper blade on the car but even if I could, in this case I would have to pass.

I just checked my paypal account, I think I can afford one lug nut

Seing as how much of this car is carbon fiber, it would not be easy or cheap to fix. A little fender bender could easily do a hundred thousand dollars worth of damage.

Throw your MIG welder away and get the resin and matte out.
