Looks like Arena Red.

HardDrive 04-23-2005 11:35 AM

That picture is from the local crew here in the Seattle area. Post in the Pacific NW regional forum and I am sure you will get an answer. I think there is a 'tour' this afternoon, so you may not get answers until tomorrow.

I would be joining them if my lawn was not looking like a jungle.....wives can be picky about these things....

PorscheGuy79 04-23-2005 11:37 AM

I think this is the same color one of our local guys cars is as well, maybe he'll chime in to let me know. How bout it Pete?

RS America 964s totally rock (appearance-wise)

Shuie 04-23-2005 01:16 PM

Thats Scooter92's car. Coral Red.

vizail 04-23-2005 03:29 PM

Purple Rose of Cairo Red...!

VicSmileWavy

Jim Richards 04-23-2005 03:50 PM

yeah, that looks like coral red

edit: Looking at the mirrors, I'm guessing that's a '93 model. No coral red that year, which, after further review, has a more orange'ish tint than this color. Well, unless my monitor's off. Anyway, I'm making the call...it's Raspberry Red Metallic, code A7 (or 83E on Paintscratch.com).

speeder 04-23-2005 05:20 PM

That is the recently acquired coral red '92 of Scott (Scooter '92) in Seattle. It is definitely a '92, hence his user name, w/ updated mirrors and wheels. A great-looking car!

rdane 04-23-2005 05:27 PM

It is coral red. Looks way more orange in person.

PorscheGuy79 04-24-2005 06:24 AM

Thank you guys, I guess I know what I want now... ;)

Wavey 04-24-2005 08:39 AM

Guess you guys stole the thunder from the "VW Show", huh?

So would I look for a 92 color chart to get this color?

Someone said it looked more orange in person. How much more orange?

island911 04-25-2005 10:02 AM

It's not that it "looks more orange in person". . .rather that it can really pick-up the surrounding light & colors. IMO

and maybe rdans screen isn't showing the pict's color quite right. (?)

rdane 04-25-2005 10:06 AM

From '92, Korallen Red Metallic Clearcoat 82H/G7

My take after driving with Scott for an afternoon is in bright light it is very orange. I would never call the color red but Porsche did.

andycook 04-25-2005 10:09 AM

Whew, my car already looks orange enough. I wanted to move away from that.

I'll call my supplier and see if I can get that code.

andycook 04-25-2005 10:21 AM

What are those mirrors?

trader220 04-25-2005 10:51 AM

There are a couple guys on the 964 turbo board on rennlist with trubo's in that color. By the way thats NOT an RS America, but its still a sweet car.
