Front Wheel Studs

Long story short...I picked up some aftermarket wheels and tires, so that I can refurb my cookie cutters and still be mobile. These wheels have a 60 degree countersink, not the 14mm radius we know and love. Front wheels have a smaller bore, such that I can put the new lug nuts in, but not at the same time as a 19mm socket...bore is too small. Easiest fix I can think of change the front wheel studs to 12x1.5, which would allow a 17mm socket to be used. I can't find any 14mm lug nuts which will fit the small bore.

PO of the wheels had these on a 78 SC. I have no clue how he was holding them on; he said with the stock nuts, but I have deduced if that was the case he was flirting with disaster and lucked out.

Anybody ever run with 12mm wheel studs before?

Thanks!
Pat
