Unhappy Fuel Filter 911sc 1983 PROBLEM!!

I just change my fuel filter tonight and I have a problem.
Car start ok. It took 2 times of course I guess to load fuel the first time
However I decided to go for a road test. First stop the car staled.
I restart the car. The RPM went crazxy for for few sec but I accelarate and I'm OK. Gear 1-2 boom Staled again!!

Installed same: 928.11.147.05

but the old one is made in GERMANY and new one in ITALY
I ordered from Pelican here.

I will re-installed old one tomorrow but any idea why it does that?
The car was running fine before.

Discourage....

Second thread this week about bad fuel filters made in Italy. Not sure how this filter can make your car rev out of control, but I would get a Mahle filter in there asap. Did you disturb any wires while you were changing the filter?

Here's the verdict! Fuel Filter

I don't know where I read Made an Italy I guess I was too depressed.
It is made in Germany also but here's the verdict

I put back the old one and my car is running like a new one again!!!
Ouf!! tons of pressure fall down
Buty here's the problem...
My son came next to me and noticed that the new one I ordered from Pelican is 1/2 inch smaller than the original. Duh!

But guess what? Same parts number!!! Go figure!

928-110-147-05 Mahle-22 made for 911 1983
That what I have?

I will write to customer service to avoid other Pelican running thru the same problem.

Without doing any egg sucking did you bleed the system once the new one was fitted? I am sure that I read somewhere that this was necessary.
