Self painting small parts

I'd like advice on painting parts such as a ducktail, rear valiance and side rockers. Is it practical to paint it myself given I have the proper equipment and if so what equipment is reccomended?
The paint is black.
Thanks

Yeah, painting parts yourself is very practical. I painted my targa roll bar, came out gorgeous. Im painting up a whale tail to go on my car. The trick is to take your time, especially in the prep work. Never, under any circumstances paint in a hurry, ask me how I know. Try the search. There are a lot of threads on paint.

Small stuff is a lot of fun!! What color? if its single stage (solid color) peice of cake Get some Wurth Stone Guard and you can even redo the texture parts and really make um look nice, Oh if I would read your post I see your color is Black, same here, you cant screw up black, its a cheap factory pack color, no mixing!!
