Fuchs Question
I like to replace my original Cucky Cutters with some Fuchs, wich size rims /tires are recomendet for a 74 stock 911 S and what is the biggest i can fit without getting problems .
Thanks for any info/ help guy's PS ( if anybody sells some good ones pleas let me know !! )http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1114552329.jpg |
I have 6jx15 Fuchs on the front and 7jx15's Fuchs on the rear of my '74 with stock fenders, no flaring, spacers, adjustments ot fender-rolling. I've run 7's all the way around and that was OK too. I use P205/60/15 tires and don't have clearance issues. I tried to run 8jx15's on the rear and they were fine as long as nobody sat in the back seat! Since my kids like to sit in the back, I got rid of the 8's. Even with brand-new Bilstein shocks on the rear, the tires rubbed when I had 200lbs in the back seat...

Oh yeah, Jason Cullen and Car-eras are always selling nice wheels on the Pelican Parts 911 used parts forum!

Can't help with the wheels, but WOW that color! What is it? I love all the exotic colors Porsche used in the 70's and 80's.
p.s. I like the cookie cutters on your car. |
Wow, thats a nice looking ride. I'd also like to add that I like the cookie cutters on it!

Thanks a lot for the info Guy's !!
I like also the Cucky Cutters but I like to change it from time to time just to get another view of the Car . The Color is Olive Green from Porsche original paint i got the car from the first owner with only 34000 miles on the watch. |
I'd keep the wheels. They look great IMHO and different than all the other 911's running Fuchs. Spend the money on DE or a thousand other projects.

@ Tom
I wasn't planning to sell them I just like to put some Fuchs with some good rubber on it from time to time. |
Great looking car!

That"s a great looking car. IMO, the simpler the better with 911"s.
This is a good example of that. |
If you buy wheels anything > 6" will be much harder to fit w/o body work,
I would look for 6x15 Fuchs if I were you. |
