Headlights no workie ?
I have an issue where my headlights no longer work but they do come on when the bright lights are applied.
For the last year when I turn on the ignition, the speedometer and headlights would not turn on unless I giggled the ignition key. Now the headlight won't come on period. They again on come on when the brights are applied. I cannot lock the headlights in bright mode either. The speedometer does work after the key is giggled. What most likely is the culprit and is it an easy fix? Car: 85 911 Targa |

The low beam and high beam are on seperate fuses. If not the low beam fuse then it might be the high/low stalk switch.

Sounds like a bad stalk switch. You can buy them from our host.
Also, this would be a good time to install the Sucro relay kit. Good luck!

I had the reverse problem (flashing brights would turn lights off) and a new switch from PP fixed it.

Agree with Scottb that you probably need a new stalk. You could probably pull it and look at the switches but its probably terminal.
Get a knew one and the relay as suggested and it should last longer than the original.
