g50 q's.

How much power can the g50 handle, and how well can you get one built and from who, cost etc. etc.

The figure that I recall was either 500 ft/lbs or 550 ft/lbs. I would think that later versions would probably handle more.

Sam Shalala at Protecnik (sp) in Houston was telling me that he had racers on stock trannies with 500-600 hp running on slicks. He said he never has problems except when they go airborn and come back down with their foot still on the floor.
His theory is that they are pretty much bulletproof in stock form.

It may jsut be getting used in a mid engine V8 project car. I am not too sure yet. If so it will be a heads/cam/intake supercharged LS1 out of a vette.

I'm gonna guess for an Ultima GTR? Those guys all seem to be looking for G50's.

It will be about 2500lbs. I am pretty sure with me driving I will be launching it pretty hard from time to time. I like to take a blast down the srag strip from time to time. I really want to get my license for NASA and do some road racing. I know some of the first thing I will do is auto X and some 1/4 mile runs.
