Series 900 running in one lap

Damon has hit the road in his Radical. Seems to be holding his own with some pretty tough competition.

Hey Rick, Damon showed me the Radical last fall and said he was going to do the OLoA but I thought maybe it was just a pipedream, like me getting all of my winter projects done....

Good for him for following through with it and I hope that he has good luck.
I thought that the rules stipulated that the car had to be driven between events, is the Radical street legal??

Is it too early to start planning the fall drive?

Jim,
Damon did make the car street legal kind of. It helps when your an state inspection station. He is driving that dog all over the place.

As far as the fall run goes. let's start nailing down a weekend.

JoeA, Just plug in Radical race cars and thier site will come up. How goes the finish work?

This his car? I checked the results from today and the Radical I saw listed didn't do too well. Wonder what happened, because that course is built for a car like that.

He never raced the car before or for that matter even drove it until he left for Tire Rack.

Dropped this in, from Damon this AM.

So far we are doing well, made it to NH via south bend ,Indy, beaverrun,
lancaster oval, Monday at 930am we are at NHIS, hmm maybe a home track
advantage? Running street tires on a 1100 lb car , and getting one warm up
lap, two hot laps makes it virtually impossible to heat up the tires and
get grip, but its a blast trying. Indy was qualifying in the first
sesssion, a track I had never seen nor walked, just hopped in the car and
boogied around it, qualified 34th, second session, I came in eigth
overall, yee haw! Beaverun, PA. was tougher with a blind downhill turn
onto a back straight, they claim over 140mph, I did not look down, had
fuel starvation shutdown second session, which should have been better
times as I had a feel for what the track felt and looked like. On to a
good old boy 1/4 mile oval at lancaster, plain weird with thee locals
staying after sunday racin to watch 80 plus one lappers do our thing at
hteir turf! 330am stopped at the shop , just to check in , gettin my own
bed this am and off to nhis for a 930 am track appointment atNHIS. It will
be something to complete this ride , The radical is just , radical. Car
and driver , did a sidebar photo interview today at beaverun, thinkin we
must be one of the real nutcases, we are on the fringe... after nhis we
drive to summit point?w.Va, back to Virginia Inter. Raceway, mason dixon
drags, roebling road Ga, and nelson Ledges Ohio, and back to tire rack in
s.Bend In.
To9ny swan of C/D started his first report below, scan the photo gallery.
Also check out www.lake-effect-racing.com or net, this guy is providing on
track in/on/side/over video of the events. fingers crossed for more fun
and no trouble, dreaming !!! its a tough endurance for both drivers, on
track and transits, and the machine has to perform flawlessly. Damon
