Convert axles from 100mm to 108mm?
Car is a 1979 911SC
Is it possible to change my axles from 100mm to 108mm? Would it require new transmission flanges and/or new axle stubs to accomplish this? Thanks,

108 turbos would be too short
108 Carerra's might work if you changed the flange on the trans to 108 Why are you doing this?

The why would be that I need a new CV joint or two and thought about just changing the axles when I saw some 86-89 Carrera style axles for sale at a decent price.

Some flanges from different trannies do NOT interchange. The splines are completely different.
If you were making a sand rail or something, maybe it would be worthwhile... But not for your use. Trust me - I spent a lot of time messing with this issue on older year cars. You might luck out with the newer ones, but maybe not.
