Looks like a Black and Decker Pecker Wrecker.

That's a muffler bearing preload adjusting tool.

My guess is that the jaws belong in the hole perpendicular to the socket, rather that out the end.
A holding/clamping tool of some kind.

You'll have to tell us, Grady...all the link did was lead me to the Stanly/proto home page...I searched the number on the tool, still couldn't get a match...I'm guessing it's a "ifino"...as in "damnedifiknow"...

Stud remover

real550A, I think you may be right! You guys are so effing smart! I can now sleep tonight! Something like this:

Perhaps a broken stud remover? Grady, I had NO LUCK searching Proto's website.

pwd72s 04-29-2005 04:50 PM

Damned complicated, but workable, design. Better stud removers and "bolt outs" are available at Sears these days...But they involve multiple tool purchases. This design is sort of a "one tool fits all" thing.

juanbenae 04-30-2005 12:31 AM

that's a crack pipe.

actually i just bout one of these>>http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=TOOL&pid=00 944816000

did not need it for a specific task, just thought i'd be able to use it at some point.

I don't know what it does but it looks like the pin might be for for storage. I.e. when you're done with the tool drop the 2 wedges into the end of the tool and then put the pin in the side to keep them from falling out.

That is a discontinued part number, but the 4520 is a stud remover, which was the next closest number in the catalog.
