Warm-up problem and mixture question...
I have been having a problem with warming up and doing a search for the solution, i come up with mixed results. Starting the car cold is fine after replacing the fuel accumulator, however if the car is cold, it idles high at first as it should, but once the aar closes, the idle surges, making the car die occasionally, until the car is warm, at which time it idles great. reading old posts, i figured that the air/fuel mixture was off and needed adjustment, but before i do that, i wanted to make sure this is the answer. i also read in old posts that if your mixture is correct, taking the oil cap off should cause the idle to drop a bit, which mine does, so does this mean my mixture is ok, or could it still be off? if it is off, is it too rich or lean? how can i tell once the mixture is correct besides waiting for the car to cool down and check the warmup idle? thanks for the advice...
