nice, but "impractical dream"???
Porsches are the most practical sports cars ever made.

Just a quick questions about all these commercials, where are they aired. Alot of these are long enough to be infomercials. Or are these the full length films that they take snippets of to fit into 30 second commercials?

I for one love that... I loved seeing that 930 coming around the corner with the A## end going out.. then again on dry pavement with smoking rear tires...
FABULOUS.

not a commercial
THis is a promo video for use at trade shows and other venues prior to unveiling of the product. I have directed these for the likes of HP and Apple. Personally I think it was a ten on production values and while I agree with some of the criticisms overall it was an adrenalin pumper. SOme exhaust tone might have helped but thanks for posting that URL.

Let me expand on RandyWebb's theme....
I am torn..the info-mercial was OK...it plucked at the correct heart strings, etc...but over the years the commercials have veered FROM: - being a sports car with a practical side ( there were some 356 cab commercials showing a family of 4 ( really !) climbing aboard with about 4 bags of goceries at a supermarket..with the voice over implying " can be raced on the weekend and be practical on the week day"..... TO: - Being a bauble or toy of the idle rich and pandering to the " I want it... I want it ..." type of buyer.... definately on the opposite side of the spectrum. This may be tacit admittance by Porsche that there are INDEED substitutes...some pretty hot 4 doors or coupes that can perform the practical/emotional thing pretty well ( BMW M3 coupe, various Audi S4 sport iterations, etc... come to mind). Therefore..put the "emotion" first snd the "practicality" second in the LATER commercials...reversing the previous apoproach ...eh? - Wil |

As a commercial I'd give it a 2, now if it was used as a lead in for a documentary about the man and his machines, now that would be a 10, in my opinion.
