Dashboard Air Vent Seals

As I have been doing an upgrade on my 88 Carrera, one of the things that has struck me was how all the foam in the car has disintegrated. Some falls apart to the touch, some is gone. The engine compartment sound proofing was a real eye opener. So I have kept my eye on foam as i go through the car. as I am restoring the dash I pulled out the side air vents. In examining them I realized that they no longer sealed shut. That they indeed had foam seals in them on the flappers of both sides, but it is completely gone. I then took a flashlight and examined the Center AC Vent. It too does not seal completely as the foam is also disintegrated and completely gone. Question to my fellow Porsche friends? some of theses vents are not available and those that can be had are expensive. Has anyone any experience in taking these vents apart and replacing the seals? Or is there a kit out there to replace them. Porsche foam sucks!! If no one can help I will let you know how it all comes out.
