Busy Day: Hi Tq starter, front shocks, front pads, brake flush

Well I broke in the new lift today, big time. I installed a new Hi Torque starter by giving my transaxle some love, actually a big hug. I was really dreading this, as my starter died, but it wasn't too bad. The top hex nut was a beyotch, as expected, but I was able to weasel a 1/2" breaker bar in there to break it loose. The rest was pretty straight forward. I had to install a spade connector on the small yellow wire, but other than that, it went right in.

A couple of notes on the hi tq starter: A. It only weighs 8 lbs, the stock unit weighs in @ 15.25 lbs. B. It sounds like an old Toyota or Datsun starter, it really kind of caught me by surprise with the sound.

I also put in a set of front Bilstein Sports, not a dramatic difference, but they feel nice. I'll see how they do on the track next weekend.

I also flushed the brakes with Motul RBF 600, and put a set of Pagids in up front.

The lift is AWESOME, it makes everything so much easier, particularly with my screwed-up back. 3 hours for all of the projects above. I stood up for the brake and shock work, and sat on my roll-around seat to do the starter.
