930 sump cover for upgraded pump

I dove in and purchased a new oil pump for my 930 which was discovered to be in mediocre condition upon splitting the case. The new pump is slightly different (996 style number) and while it seems to fit nicely in the case, the old stock sump plate does not fit any longer since the pickup portion and screen are larger. Is there a good way to deal with this issue. I heard there was an inexpensive kit.
