Porsche Crest new- old porsche owner 74'911

hi there fellow pelicanites,my name is Ray and i've had my 74' porsche 911 coupe for about five months now and still can't get it to handle right where i want it . It feels like its all over the place when i am on the freeway its just not stable, any suggestion on how i can get it to handle much better? btw- i recently move to the valley here in Granada HIlls,CA. and was wondering if ther is anybody around the area who's nice enough to maybe wanna meet and brainstorm a little bit and just to hang out kinda thing! thanks n hoping to see some replies!!! good day now

Not in Cali. but you might want to check your tire pressure. It can cause our cars to do funny things. Check the simple things first like suspension, shocks, lug nuts, etc.

hey Wayne thanks for the info. your right tire pressure forgot about that and i supposed overinflated tire can mess with the stability of the car huh?

This may be a shot in the dark, but a friend had a similar problem and his wrench said it was due to a bent bananna arm (trailing arm). But, the dude who bought it from him said it just needed some suspension adjustments done.
Like Wayne said, "Check the simple things first like suspension, shocks, lug nuts, etc."

Watch the board for runs and events where the locals get together.

We do need a Porsche hang out though

I go over to Flames roasted chicken on Friday nights once in awhile to look at the cars. Mostly Rods and muscle but a few Porsche's show up.
It's on Corbin Ave South of Plummer by the Kmart.
