Webers Not Opening 100%
I cannot get my carb's to open 100%. My gas pedal does not have an adjustable stop. What linkage do I need to adjust?

You need to have an assistant in car with pedal floored, then adjust (shorten) the link that comes up from the transmission area to the bellcrank at the back (front of the car) of the engine.
Somebody was here recently speaking about the length of the link from bell crank to crossbar, I believe that it is in the range of 7.5 inches in length. Also a good time to make sure your bell cranks have good bushings, both in the engine compartment and the one attached to the transmission. edit:spelling

Hi.... Also if you have one you may need to check the little barrell connector between the rod from the body to the one that goes to the assembly on the engine. If it has collapsed youre throddel wont open all the way up. Just a thought,....

I tried everything I could to get my PMOs to open fully, and the entire throttle-linkage system was new. Damned if I could do it, finally took it to my excellent local independent Porsche shop and they did it. It ain't easly...

There should be an adjustable plastic stop under your gas pedal, Make sure that this is adjusted to allow sufficient movement of the linkage system.
They have been known to be set high for years on some cars. It must NOT be too low either, or it can damage, bind the linkage..

I have the plastic pedal with the non adjustable stop.

Is that because your car was originally CIS??? I know NOTHING about CIS, except it is pretty non adjustable.
You may need to find an earlier adjustable stop to make your throttle work properly now.

Steve,
I know he has carbs, NOW. He states that his car is a 76 911S 3.0 so it probably didn't come with carbs originally, right? My guess is that whomever did the conversion did not check for wide open butterflys at full throttle, and it has NEVER opened properly, because his car lacks the adjustable stop for this UNDER the gas pedal (throttle). See where I am going with this now???;-)

Yup,
The car originally had CIS. Can I shave an 1/8" or so off the pedal? Or do I need to buy a snazzy new pedal with an adjustable stop?
